Scenes from the Gokana New Testament Reprint Dedication

On February 24th, the Gokana New Testament Reprint was Dedicated.  A big highlight was when the Executive Secretary of the Local Government Education Authority exclaimed, “Now I understand and see what the project members have been going to NBTT Jos for. I am recommending that the members of the Project should embark on teaching the language in our schools so that these Bible will be of benefit to both the Parents and the Children of Gokana. My office is ready to work in cooperation with you the project members.”  We are excited to tell you that work on the Old Testament is progressing well.  While we wait for the full Bible to be realized, let’s enjoy these scenes from the New Testament dedication:

Various leaders who attended the dedication. Near the center in the red cap is Malam Sule Auta, the Executive Director of the Nigeria Bible Translation Trust. On his right in the silver jacket is the Gokana Local Government Area (LGA) Secretary. (An LGA is similar to a county in the U.S.)
